Woke up pretty late on Sunday morning... It was 9:30am when I realised that I actually hit the snooze button one time too many. Slept really really late the previous night. Around, 4am, I think. Went to meet Wenquan at Jurong Point for a midnight show. Really late show. It started at 00 30 hours, but of course, after all that advertisements etc, the movie started rolling only at about 01 00 hours. That movie isn't as bad as the critics said it was! It was quite funny and entertaining, I think. Haha. I'm a big fan of Jackie Chan. Big-nosed people must support one another. Haha. Oh well. I don't like my nose. But that's really TOOP. Left my room around 10:10am, and made it to Orchard in an hour's time. I was sleeping all the way in the MRT! From Boon Lay to Raffles Place (nearly overshot) *Doors closing... toot toot toot toooot!* Hahaha. Then after I hopped on to the train at Raffles, I fell asleep again! Within that short period taken to travel... 4 stops! Haha. Okay, actually, it was 5 stops, cos I missed the Orchard stop, and had to take the train back in the opposite direction. *embarrassed* Oh well. When I got there, everyone else was there already - Kelvin (team leader), Weixiang, Anne. Kelvin left some time after that, to go to Specialist Centre, to check on the others there. It was quite fun. Anne is so cute, haha. And Weixiang ah... He's a funny guy lah. His sales tactics quite impressive too. I had a cup of iced coffee at the nyonya cafe near the entrance of Wisma Atria, not long after I started work, cos I was so sleepy! The nyonya herself made the coffee for me. Yum! Just dark coffee with abit of condensed milk. It was perfect. Oh, heaven! She's really really good at making the coffee. I am still drooling at the thought of it! *sighs* I love coffee! Although this one is rather expensive (S$2.50 a cup), but it's still better than those at Starbucks, Coffeebean or any of those chic cafes! Just good ol' coffee. *drools* Hmmm yesterday wasn't really a good sales day. Maybe I should say that the location itself was bad. I managed to get only 10 sales (short of 1 to reach the next level in my pay scheme), and dearie Anne gave me 2, to top it up! Hehe. She's on the other pay scheme, where there is a basic pay of S$40, so the number of sales she makes doesn't really matter that much. Unlike mine. I had lunch and a mini shopping session with Xiangying. We bought popiah at the Takashimaya food court, and sat at the steps near the fountain to eat, instead of making futile attempts to get a seat. Afterwards, we went to the Harrods store, and I saw this really really cute PVC bag, with cats printed all over it! I love the square, medium-sized one! Purr-fect for retail-therapy outings! : ) But I didn't check the price, cos I know it'll be out of my budget. Kinda broke since I just paid all my HP bills, Yali's too (it's subscribed under my name), and my room phone bill, hostel confirmation deposit of $300, etc. By the way, I don't like cats, but this was really really cute. XY also bought a long-sleeved sports jersey ala feminine, in PINK! Haha. I love pink, but that was so expensive! S$69.90! *faints* Hmmm. Rich girl, lah. What to do? Hehe. Went back to work after that, and then got a call from Daddy, saying that he lost his HP again! Twice in 6 months! He lost it at the hospital this time, while visiting grandpa. I don't know how exactly did it happen. But anyway, I helped him call up Singtel to suspend the line. I really screwed that idiot over on the other side of the phone. He was being so unreasonable, asking me to provide him with details such as Company's full name, whose name is it registered under, NRIC, company's ROC, billing address, etc. How would I know what's the company's ROC and billing address?! In the end I really screwed him bad. Worse than the POSBank staff that I screwed last Sunday. I hung up after a while, then called my Dad and told him, then he gave me the billing address and told me to tell the customer service people to call him on his Malaysian HP if they have a problem with it. He was pretty pissed too. More on POSBank. Last weekend, while I was at Orchard Specialist Centre, I decided to drop by the bank and make some equiries about my problematic POSB MasterCard, as I was nearby for lunch. I was wearing my OCBC uniform of course, and happened to have some samples of the credit cards that I was selling, in my hands. When the POSB staff (they were having a credit card roadshow outside the bank) saw me approaching, they were like saying very loudly to one another in Mandarin, "Eh, look! Look! What is that OCBC girl doing here! Spying on us! What does she think she's doing!" I was so bloody pissed at that time, that I ticked them off, and asked, "So if I work for OCBC, I can't be a customer of POSB?!" *more arguments* I demanded to speak to the manager, who, sad to say, had very low quality of customer service too. I left, feeling like every bit the unhappy and grumpy consumer who had been shortchanged, but not before I broke my MasterCard right in half and threw it on the floor before their eyes. Then I stomped out. I am currently looking for a new bank, and will transfer all my money to that new bank account. Was thinking of UOB or OCBC. Any suggestions (backed with reasons)? Hehe. Anyhoos. After we wrapped up for the day yesterday, we went over to Cineleisure, and had dinner at Long John Silver's. Fat fat fat! Omg. Haha. Okay, well, at least I didn't finish my fries! Hehe. The guys helped me to. I was there with Wayne (manager), Vernon and Kelvin (team leaders) and the other promoters (Edmund, Joan, Weixiang, Winnie, Anne). After dinner, we went upstairs to check out the movie schedules. It was Vernon's last day at work (he's leaving to further his studies in Perth), so he gave us a movie treat! Woot! Hehe. Took some pictures at dinner-time, and while we were waiting to enter the cinema. Only pics of the girls for now, though. Will get the rest from Weixiang another day.

We watched the one and only show (besides The Chronicles of Riddick, which none of us wanted to watch) that no one else had watched - Japanese Story. Goodness, that must have been the slowest movie ever made! Alright, I admit that there were really good parts which portrayed the cross-cultural romance between Sandy Edwards (Toni Collette - she's brilliant, by the way) and Hiromitsu (Gotaro Tsunashima), but for most of the part, you were watching them driving along endless stretches of road in the Australian deserts! Anyway, Hiromitsu is a friggin' asshole. He cheated on his wife! Okay, so she's kinda round and boring, but that's no excuse! Haha. Who am I to say, anyway... Hmmm. Other than that, there were abrupt bits - Sandy and Hiromitsu were looking into each other's eyes with this fatigued look on their faces, after being stranded in the desert, and suddenly, they were lovers in bed in the next scene. Some parts were just plain weird - can anyone tell me why Sandy put on Hiromitsu's pants before she climbed into bed with him, her top half naked? Is there some kinda meaning behind that action? Hmmm. Also, the death. That was kinda unexpected, wasn't it? And do bodies really float to the surface so shortly after drowning? And what did he die of? Head injuries? Then why wasn't there any visible wound on the head? Why wasn't it smashed? Haha. Hmmm, when the body floated up and Sandy started screaming her head off, Anne, Winnie and I started laughing. Honestly, it really looked very stupid. Haha! Ooops. Hmmm. Oh yeah, Gotaru Tsunashima looks like my Daddy! Well, sort of. Hehe. Yeah, man. My Daddy is the handsome-est! Hehe. But the scenes after Hiro's death were really quite intense. Toni Collete portrayed her shock, sadness, dazedness (is there such a word?), her frustration, anger, remorse, and passion so well. Hiromitsu was a funny and weird character that kept everyone amused throughout the first two-thirds of the movie. Overall rating of movie? 2.5/5 I was going to give it a 2/5, but based on Collete and Gotaru's stellar performance, I gave it an extra 0.5, haha. Oh well. It was too slow. Too much deserts and rocks, though certain sceneries were breathtaking. Reached home at almost 1:00am, and had this huge disagreement with Wenquan. Well, we solved it this morning. So everything's fine and dandy again. Guess it's just part and parcel, these disagreements are. Am going home to JB soon, for a couple of days, till Wednesday morning, so I won't be contactable at my handphone. Just leave me a message on the tagboard or something, I'll check it from time to time, though I hate dial-up to the core. When are we gonna get broadband at home? *sighs*
